The American Revolution
for Kids

We have studied the American Revolution by examining the causes of the revolution. We learned about the major battles and the colonial leaders. We researched and reported on the involvement of women in the American Revolution. We learned how the French helped the colonists especially with their naval support by keeping the British away from the American coastline.

Even though Americans fought courageously and Washington was a strong leader, students learned why the war for independence lasted eight years. We looked at the main terms of the Treaty of Paris and why Great Britain did not win the war. We hope you will enjoy our work.
